Lydia Tay – Manager, Employee Engagement and Development at Purdys Chocolatier

Lydia oversees internal communications, employee engagement and training and development at Purdys Chocolatier, a beloved Canadian brand with over 80 locations and 1,300 staff. With experience in recruitment and retention, change management, employer brand, internal communications and employee experience, her career bridges both HR and Communications. Having worked in private consulting, public institutions and industry, she loves adapting and applying cutting-edge concepts to complex environments.

Originally from the UK, and proud to call Vancouver home, Lydia is an active IABC member and has held a number of BC Chapter Leadership roles. She currently serves on the Canada West Region Board as Director – Communications.

Lydia earned her MBA from the University of British Columbia and when not sampling new chocolates at work, you’ll find her running on the Vancouver seawall in training for her next race.
