Sid Ali

Dr. A. Sidiq (Sid) Ali is a measurement scientist. He has spent over 20 years conducting research, evaluation and program development projects and is a Canadian Evaluation Society Credentialed Evaluator (CE).

As a consultant, Sid has many clients in the corporate, public and not-for-profit sectors, with much of his work focusing on training, testing and professional credentialing programs. He facilitates workshops on better data visualization and infographics production and has taught both graduate and teacher pre-service courses in research methods and student assessment and evaluation.

Sid has been the recipient of the University of  Toronto’s department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning’s doctoral scholarship and the National (U.S.) Science Foundation’s Evaluators’ Institute scholarship. He has written many evaluation and technical reports, emphasizing better data visualization, has published articles in magazines and Canadian and international scholarly journals, and has presented his work at national and international conferences. His educational background is in the Humanities and Social Sciences with Bachelor’s degrees in History and Education and an M.Ed. and Ph.D. Educational Measurement and Evaluation from the University of Toronto.
