IABC Canada Celebrates Excellence in Communication with 2024 Silver Leaf Awards

TORONTO—The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Canada is delighted to announce the 2024 Silver Leaf Awards winners, recognizing excellence in strategic communication. This year, 92 entries were submitted, and 29 recipients were honoured—9 with an Award of Excellence and 20 with an Award of Merit. The awards celebrate the innovation, creativity and impact of communications work across Canada, setting a benchmark for the industry.

“The Silver Leaf Awards continue to highlight the remarkable work being done by communication professionals across the country,” said Wendy Thatcher, SCMP, IABC Canada West region chair. “This year’s winners exemplify the strategic thinking, storytelling and creativity essential to our profession. This year’s entries showcased an impressive range of innovation and strategic impact, reflecting the hard work and passion of communicators from coast to coast. It’s an honour to recognize these achievements alongside a community of professionals committed to raising the bar in communication.”

This year, over 40 experienced evaluators volunteered their time and expertise, offering constructive feedback and ensuring a thorough and fair judging process. This feedback is one of the things that makes the Silver Leaf Awards truly unique, offering entrants a chance to learn and grow from the process. The program would not be possible without the time, energy and dedication of our volunteer evaluators, who help elevate the standards of our profession.”
