2026 Master Communicators Announced
June 3, 2026
June 3, 2026—The IABC Canada Master Communicator Selection Committee is thrilled to introduce our 2026 class of Master Communicators:
Phoebe Dey, SCMP, MC
Diana Degan, ABC, MC, IABC Fellow
Both of this year’s honourees have demonstrated significant contributions to the profession and IABC through decades of thoughtful, dedicated practice. Phoebe Dey is a member of the Edmonton chapter and Diana Degan is a member of the Toronto chapter.
Their leadership and generosity have not only positively supported others in their careers and development but have also contributed to growing our profession.
“The Master Communicator (MC) designation is the highest recognition that IABC Canada bestows on its members. Itacknowledges that an individual has demonstrated excellence in the profession, has been a thought-leader in the field of communications, and has, with intention, lifted others up to experience success as a professional communicator,” said committee chair Laurie Dawkins, ABC, MC, SCMP, IABC Fellow. “We’d like to extend a sincere congratulations to our newest Master Communicators.”
IABC Canada recognizes excellence in the communication profession each year with its signature Master Communicator program.
This is a highly coveted and prestigious honour: with this year’s class, only 68 communication professionals have received the Master Communicator designation over the 46-year history of the award.
