Maliha Aqeel, PMP, SCMP

Maliha Aqeel, PMP, SCMP is an award-winning, strategic communication professional with extensive experience in global markets. She is currently Director of Global Communications & Digital Channels at Fix Network World, an automotive aftermarket leader with presence in 20 countries. She leads multi-channel, integrated communication programs and digital marketing as well as implementation of marketing technologies.

Maliha stated her career in Dubai, UAE where she spent several years in agency, specializing in financial communications including mergers and acquisitions, and crisis communications. After moving to Canada, she transitioned to client side and headed the brand and communication function for the Institute of Corporate Directors.

She is a regular speaker in industry conferences and has won several IABC Gold Quill awards for brand development, content marketing, publications and internal communications. She is the recipient of two Gold Quill “Best of the Best” awards in the categories of employee engagement and COVID-19 response management and communications.

Maliha has been an active IABC volunteer at the chapter, regional and international level for more than 10 years. She currently serves as Treasurer & Secretary on IABC’s international executive board and is a past president of IABC/Toronto.

She holds a Master of Business in Strategic Marketing from University of Wollongong, Australia and has been accepted as a doctoral candidate in Royal Roads University’s Doctor of Business Administration program.
