Get More Out of Your Membership: Join the IABC Canada West Board

Hey there!

Are you a strategic thinker, a team player, and love solving problems? If so, we’ve got an awesome opportunity for you to give back to the communications community and have some fun along the way!

The IABC Canada West Region is looking for passionate individuals to join the 2025/26 Board of Directors. Whether you live in BC, Manitoba, or any place in between, we want to hear from you!

Our board is a tight-knit group of nine members from across Western Canada, with the common purpose of supporting the Chapters and members that make up our region (one of IABC’s largest membership bases in the world).

We’ve got two roles on our board open and we’d love to add a passionate member who’s looking for an opportunity to contribute to the IABC community and work with a great group of volunteers (oh, and maybe earn some of the CMP or SCMP recertification credits, too!):

• National Programs Director: Lead IABC Canada’s Silver Leaf Awards and Master Communicators (MC) programs in partnership with IABC Canada East Region (CER), providing leadership to a committee of volunteers.
• Communications Director: In concert with the Canada East region’s Communications Chair, lead and facilitate communication to members to support participation in IABC Canada programs. Act as a liaison to CWR chapter communication portfolios and make sure IABC CWR channels are operating effectively.

Each role is for a two-year term.

Not ready to commit to a Board role? We also welcome nominations for non-board volunteer support roles in any of our portfolios. This is another a great way to get to know the work of our Board, earn certification credits, and contribute to nurturing a vibrant community of members.
