Shape the Future of the Profession: Call for Nominations for the 2026/27 IABC Canada West Region Board

Are you a strategic thinker and a team player looking for an opportunity to give back to the communications community? The IABC Canada West Region (CWR) is seeking visionary leaders for our 2026/27 Board of Directors.

Our board is a tight-knit group of nine members from across Western Canada, representing over 40% of all IABC members globally. Serving on the board is also an excellent way to earn at least 10 of the 40 required annual credits toward your CMP or SCMP certification or recertification.

Open Board Positions:

•  Vice Chair (3-Year Term): A developmental role that progresses to Chair and Past Chair. You will lead regional strategic planning and represent Western Canada at the international level.
• Director of Finance: Oversee the region’s fiscal strategy and $125,000 operating budget. This role is strategically supported by our Association Management Company, Funnel Communications, who assists with bookkeeping and financial filings.
• Director of Administration: Manage regional governance and operational excellence. This position is supported by Funnel Communications for record-keeping and administrative logistics.
• Director of Member Experience(New Role!): Lead the region’s new community model framework and governance. You will chair the Regional Membership Committee, collaborating with chapter directors on recruitment campaigns, deepening member value, and specifically supporting our Members-at-Large (MALs).
