With nearly two decades in the communication profession, Nekolina has honed her skills across many industries, from banking and tech to government and oil and gas. Over the past ten years, she’s sharpened her focus on internal and executive leader communication, advancing communication strategies that drive business results.

In 2020, IABC recognized Nekolina with the prestigious Gold Quill Best of the Best award for internal communication. She also led ATB Financial’s Communication team to Gold Quill success with multiple Gold Quill Awards, including Corporate Communication Team of the Year.
Nekolina thrives on giving back to her communities.

For the communication profession, this commitment includes evaluating IABC Silver Leaf/Silver Quill and Gold Quill Awards. She also served on the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC) Board of Directors from 2021-2023.

As a mentor, leader, and coach, Nekolina values providing a ‘leg up’ to others. And it’s this passion to share her experiences and wealth of knowledge with others that brings her to the IABC West Conference this year.
